I've been trying to keep posting regularly, but I have had two weeks of viruses, one after another. I'm so bloody tired and fatigued that I can barely string a sentence together, let alone write anything coherent for you lovely lot.

Difficult to write about anything when you've got an empty head and your brain feels like it's been stuffed with cotton wool. I often start sentences and then forget where I was going with them halfway through.

I've been sofa surfing and bed surfing, trying to find a comfortable spot, but some days I just can't. Nothing feels right - too hot, too cold, too soft, too firm. And I don't have the energy to keep moving, so I just lie there like a grumpy lump, too knackered to relocate but too uncomfortable to rest appropriately.

My brain isn't working, making speech and communication difficult. Paul's getting used to me pointing at things and making vague grunting noises instead of actual words. The cats seem to understand me better than humans do at the moment - maybe we're operating on the same wavelength of "feed me and leave me alone."

Current Status:

• Energy levels: Running on fumes
• Brain function: Error 404 not found
• Comfort levels: Does not compute
• Ability to human: Temporarily offline

Today's Reality:

Sometimes chronic illness comes in waves, and right now I'm being absolutely battered by the surf. FND doesn't play nicely with other bugs - it's like everything gangs up on you at once.

Affirmations (that I'm whispering very quietly):

• This too shall pass (it always does, eventually)
• Rest is healing, even when it's frustrating
• My worth isn't measured by my productivity

Please bear with me - regular service will resume... hopefully soon. When my brain decides to rejoin the party and my body stops hosting every passing virus like it's running a bloody B&B.
