Close-up selfie of a woman with auburn hair wearing large round gold-rimmed glasses, showing off freshly done eyelash extensions and shaped eyebrows
Fresh lashes courtesy of Hannah & Shaz! No crying allowed today

I'd cry but my lashes have only been done a few hours ago! ๐Ÿ’„โœจ

What a day it's been, lovely people! Started off with such promise - managed a shower and got myself dressed (which, let's be honest, is a proper victory some days). Had my voluntary Town Councillor hat on for a planning meeting this morning, feeling quite chuffed with myself.

Then off to see my absolute favourite girls at The Mix Up Salon in Cannock - Hannah and Shaz are absolute angels who do my eyelashes and brows. Honestly, it's the one thing that makes me feel properly like me these days, and I absolutely adore those two. They're brilliant at what they do and always make me laugh.

The weather was absolutely gorgeous today, so I had grand plans of spending the afternoon relaxing in the garden under the parasol, maybe doing a bit of sky gazing with a cuppa. You know how it is though - the best laid plans and all that!

The inevitable FND crash came almost immediately after getting home. No peaceful afternoon in the sunshine for this one. Instead, I'm writing this from my bed, feeling a bit sorry for myself if I'm being honest.

The pain's proper kicked in, I'm absolutely shattered, and I've got that lovely combination of pins and needles in my feet plus what feels like a cold coming on. Even taking my bra off (you know that end-of-day relief we all love!) didn't help much today. My ribs are aching something chronic.

Time to try and get some sleep and hope tomorrow's a bit kinder.

But honestly? I'd have a proper cry about it all, but Hannah would absolutely murder me if I messed up these lashes after only three hours! ๐Ÿ˜‚

Sometimes you've got to find the humour in the rubbish days, haven't you?

Sweet dreams, lovelies. Tomorrow's a new day. ๐Ÿ’œ
